Florida State's rough 2024 seems to have no ending. Technically, it will end on Nov. 30 with a matchup with in-state rival Florida, but the impact of this one-win season may last for a long time.
Specifically, Florida State's losing ways have impacted the Seminoles on the recruiting trail. Several top recruits have decommitted, and now a new one is joining their ranks.
Izayia Williams, a four-star linebacker from Leesburg, Florida, has decommitted from the Seminoles.

As far as his status is concerned, it is worth noting that Williams has a bit of a history of flip flopping. Florida State is now the third school he's decommitted from.
He's also had verbal commitments with Louisville and Syracuse. If one thing is consistent, he does seem to like the ACC, and that could be good news for Miami.
He visited with the Hurricanes at the end of October and put this on social media soon after:

Wherever Williams ends up, he projects to be good. According to the 247Sports Composite, he's the No. 7 linebacker in the 2026 class.
It's worth remembering that he's only a junior in high school, though, so it will be interesting to see if he decides to take some time before making his next commitment, and if that does end up sticking ... unlike the others.
