With most of Week 10's NFL schedule behind us, let's look at the biggest winners from Sunday's action.
Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray
Kyler Murray completed a career-high 91.6 percent of his passes during Sunday’s 31-6 dismantling of the New York Jets, including a Cardinals franchise record 17 consecutive completions. He finished the game with 266 passing yards, one passing touchdown, zero interceptions, a 126.7 passer rating and added 21 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
Murray’s success has been essential to the Cardinals’ unfathomable 6-4 start, their best record through 10 games since 2021, when they started 8-2. He's put Arizona firmly atop the NFC West and in an incredible position to make a run in the playoffs.
Kansas City Chiefs DE Mike Danna
It’s hard to imagine a more thrilling way to save an undefeated season than blocking a game-winning field goal as time expires. Chiefs DE Mike Danna, who had missed the team’s last three games nursing a pectoral injury, did just that, breaking through the Denver Broncos line and diving at kicker Wil Lutz on the game’s final play.

Following Kansas City’s narrow 16-14 victory, Danna told reporters that the play-call was the same as when Chiefs LB Leo Chenal blocked 49ers kicker Jake Moody’s extra point attempt in the 2024 Super Bowl. Thanks to Danna’s miraculous block, the Chiefs improved to 9-0 for the third time in franchise history (2003, 2013).
Pittsburgh Steelers' trade deadline acquisitions
The Steelers were aggressive at the trade deadline this past Tuesday, exchanging late-round draft picks for WR Mike Williams and DE Preston Smith. Less than a week after joining the team, both players made game-changing plays in the Steelers’ 28-27 victory over the Washington Commanders.
Smith helped stall a Commanders drive that started in Steelers territory by sacking QB Jayden Daniels and added an 11-yard tackle for loss on the opening play of the fourth quarter. Williams, on his lone target in the game, hauled in a 32-yard touchdown reception with under three minutes remaining, which proved to be the game-winning score.

Pittsburgh (7-2) is off to its best start through nine games since 2021 and is sitting atop the AFC North.
Jacksonville Jaguars defense
Jacksonville’s defense embodied the “bend don’t break” mantra in their 12-7 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Despite allowing 402 yards of total offense, the Jaguars held the Vikings to zero touchdowns on five red-zone drives and intercepted QB Sam Darnold three times inside Jacksonville’s 30-yard line.
Although they lost as a result of a putrid offensive display, their defense, which allowed touchdowns on 69.7% of red-zone drives before Sunday, showed immense promise. With the season all but over for the now 2-8 Jaguars, that’s about as big of a win as they could’ve asked for.
New Orleans Saints WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling
New Orleans signed Valdes-Scantling to a veteran minimum ($1.13 million) one-year deal just two weeks ago with the expectation that he would fill in as the team’s deep threat following a season-ending knee injury to WR Rashid Shaheed. He fulfilled that role in the Saints' 20-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
In his second game with the team, Valdes-Scantling hauled in three receptions for 109 yards and scored both of New Orleans’ touchdowns despite not catching a pass in the second half. His lone reception of less than 40 yards was a two-yard touchdown catch in the waning minutes of the first half.

His 109 receiving yards were his most since his 116-yard showing in the 2022 AFC Championship game as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Carolina Panthers RB Chuba Hubbard
Questions arose when the Panthers handed RB Chuba Hubbard a four-year, $33.2 million extension this past week after selecting Texas RB Jonathan Brooks in the second round of the 2024 draft. The noise didn’t seem to bother him.
Hubbard recorded a career-high 153 rushing yards and scored a touchdown against the Giants in front of a sold-out crowd in Munich, Germany. He surpassed 100 all-purpose yards before the game reached halftime.
Thanks to Hubbard's efforts, Carolina is now riding its first two-game win streak since Weeks 12 and 14 of the 2022 season (a week 13 bye separated the two wins).
New England Patriots pass rush
New England entered Sunday’s contest against the Chicago Bears having generated a measly 16 sacks on the season, the league’s fourth-lowest mark. Despite this, they planted QB Caleb Williams in the dirt nine times during their 19-6 win, including sacks from seven unique players. DE Deatrich Wise Jr. and LB Anfernee Jennings each picked up a pair of sacks.
Whether Sunday’s demolition was a testament to a depleted Bears offensive line or a sign of things to come for the Patriots pass rush is up for debate, but the tremendous result is irrefutable. The Patriots (3-7) will likely have a high pick in the 2025 draft and can now soundly worry about one less unit that may need to be addressed at the top of the draft.
San Francisco 49ers WR Ricky Pearsall
Less than three months removed from sustaining a gunshot wound to his chest, 49ers WR Ricky Pearsall recorded his first career touchdown on a 46-yard reception against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It was a miracle in itself that the 2024 first-round pick was able to make his NFL debut earlier this season, let alone make the impact he already has.
Pearsall finished the game with four receptions totaling 73 yards. After losing WR Brandon Aiyuk to a season-ending ACL and MCL injury in Week 7, Pearsall will continue to play an expanded role in salvaging the now 5-4 49ers’ Super Bowl aspirations.
Philadelphia Eagles
Led by QB Jalen Hurts’ 202 passing yards and four total touchdowns, the Philadelphia Eagles cruised to a 34-6 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Although they were 7.5-point favorites against a Cowboys team playing without QB Dak Prescott, Sunday’s win will prove to be crucial in deciding Philadelphia’s playoff seeding at the end of the regular season.
With the Eagles and Washington Commanders likely to finish the season with near-identical overall records, divisional records would break a potential tie. Thanks to the Commanders (7-3) falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Eagles (7-2) rose to the top of the NFC East and are now a perfect 2-0 in division play.
