Jaylen Brown calls out Giannis Antetokounmpo over disrespectful move

Boston Celtics wing Jaylen Brown had some criticism for Giannis Antetokounmpo after the Milwaukee Bucks star pulled a disrespectful move during Sunday’s game.

Brown took an elbow to the face from Antetokounmpo during Sunday’s 113-107 Celtics win at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, and did not seem thrilled with it.

Antetokounmpo rubbed salt in the wound when he put out his hand for a high five moments later, then pulled it back just as Brown was reaching out.

Brown was not particularly impressed with the gesture after the game. The reigning Finals MVP said Antetokounmpo was “a child,” and that his focus was on getting the team a win.

“Giannis is a child,” Brown told reporters. “I’m just focused on helping my team get a win, and that’s what we did tonight.”

Perhaps Giannis still remembers all those dunks Brown threw down on him in the playoffs a few years back. The Bucks did hold Brown to 14 points on 4-of-13 shooting, but still lost as Jayson Tatum went for 31.

Sunday’s loss dropped the Bucks to 2-8 on the season. He still seems to be having fun, but games like this are just going to keep the persistent trade rumors from going away.
