Watch: Cowboys offense turns into 'football follies' with embarrassing sequence

The Dallas Cowboys season continued to turn into a laughing stock on Sunday, getting completely dominated at home — again — by the Philadelphia Eagles.

It reached a point in the third quarter where even CBS play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz was mocking them.

As quarterback Cooper Rush fumbled, several Cowboys had a chance to fall on the football but instead kicked it around the field, allowing the Eagles to record the takeaway.

That prompted Nantz to refer to the play as "football follies" as it was happening, and then refer to the Cowboys offense as the "Keystone cops" when it was over.

That was Rush's second lost fumble of the day, and one of four lost fumbles for the Cowboys offense.

Third-string quarterback Trey Lance later came into the game and threw an interception for a fifth turnover.

Without quarterback Dak Prescott the Cowboys offense was always going to be facing an uphill battle in this game, but the problems for this team go well beyond just an injured quarterback. The entire offense, even with Prescott, has become a mess, the defense has not been able to stop anybody all season and they continue to get embarrassed at home.

They are not just bad. They are not even competitive.
