Caitlin Clark nearly hits spectators with errant tee shot

Caitlin Clark might be one of the greatest shooters of a basketball who ever lived, but on the golf course she appears to be one of us.

Clark on Wednesday took part in the pro-am portion of “The Annika,” which is an LPGA event hosted by Annika Sorenstam at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Fla. While the Indiana Fever star is actually a pretty decent golfer, she has plenty of mishits like any amateur.

One of those misfires came on the 3rd hole, when Clark pulled her tee shot directly left into some spectators. She then pulled a relatable move by immediately reaching into her pocket to grab another ball to tee up.

One fan was actually filming Clark’s swing when the tee shot came right towards him.

Fortunately, no one was injured. Clark also hit plenty of impressive shots during the event, even if the worst one is the one that went viral.

Fans have grown accustomed to seeing Clark accomplish insane feats on the basketball court, but nothing can humble a star athlete quite like trying to hit a little white ball. Clark’s errant tee shot was just the latest reminder of that.
