Deion Sanders has six-word response to Cowboys rumors

The Dallas Cowboys will likely begin searching for a new head coach after the season, and some have wondered if Jerry Jones will try to lure Deion Sanders away from Colorado. As of now, Sanders does not sound interested.

Sanders made an appearance on FS1’s “Speak” on Tuesday night. During the interview, fellow Cowboys legend Michael Irvin jokingly mentioned how a coach with Sanders’ motivational skills and leadership ability might be needed in Dallas after the season. Sanders immediately cut his former teammate off and told Irvin “don’t start that.”

Coach Prime then started repeating the phrase “I love it where I am.” Sanders even picked up his laptop and turned it around so the FS1 crew could see the beautiful view he has from his office in Boulder, Colo.

Sanders did not explicitly deny having interest in coaching the Cowboys. He has been asked about the job in the past, however, and he made his thoughts on it very clear.

Should the Cowboys decide not to bring McCarthy back next season, they will probably at least have a conversation with Sanders. Though the 57-year-old is a franchise icon, he would still be a risky hire because he has no prior NFL coaching experience. If Jones wants to make a big splash, there is a much more obvious route he could go.
