Post-waiver wire fantasy football pickups for Week 11

These players haven’t done much for fantasy players in recent games, but each has tremendous upside and are worth a look in Week 11.

RB: Audric Estime (Denver Broncos)

After the team’s 41-10 loss to the Ravens in Week 9, Broncos coach Sean Payton said that rookie running back Audric Estime would see more carries in the second half of the season.

Javonte Williams remains the team’s leading rusher, but he ranks 33rd among NFL rushers with 388 yards. Estime saw a team-high 14 carries against the Chiefs last week, while Williams ran for one yard on a single carry.

Estime rushed for a modest 53 yards, but Payton obviously liked what he saw from this year’s fifth-round pick. “I thought he ran well yesterday," Payton told reporters. “He’ll continue to get more reps." This week, he’ll face a Falcons team that’s allowed the 12th-most rushing yards per game (129.4) this season.

They won’t catch the undefeated Chiefs, but at 5-5, the Broncos still have a good chance of landing a wild-card spot. That should bring more carries and fantasy points for Denver’s new lead back.

QB: Anthony Richardson (Indianapolis Colts)

Richardson started the 2024 season with 268 total yards, three touchdowns and 27.08 fantasy points against the Texans. Unfortunately for the Colts, he’d go into the tank after that, completing just 50 of 114 passes over his next five games.

A pitiful performance in Week 8 appeared to be the last straw for head coach Shane Steichen, especially after he tapped out with fatigue in the third quarter, but four interceptions in the last two games from backup quarterback Joe Flacco have brought him back to Richardson.

While it’s hard to make a statistical argument for the Colts’ embattled QB, human nature tells us he may be worth a stash. As the fourth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Richardson is surely embarrassed by his recent benching, and despite his faults, he remains one of the NFL’s most gifted athletes.

According to Yahoo Sports’ Dalton Del Don, Richardson averaged 29.2 fantasy points per four quarters (the most ever) last year and matched Houston's C.J. Stroud in top-five finishes despite missing most of the season. If he ever figures things out, a humbled Richardson could be dangerous and worth a stash on many rosters.

Richardson is available in 55% of Yahoo leagues.

Defense: Tennessee Titans

Speaking of struggling quarterbacks, Minnesota’s Sam Darnold has five interceptions in his last two games. The Vikings won both matchups but may not be so lucky against the Titan’s top-ranked defense this week.

While Tennessee allows the fourth-most points (26.7) per game, no team allows fewer yards per contest (273.6) than the Titans. They scored no fantasy points against the Chargers on Sunday but posted four sacks, two interceptions and a forced fumble against New England the week before.

As long as Minnesota continues to give up the 10th-most fantasy points (7.89) per game to opposing defenses, the Titans defense could be the sleeper pick of the week.

Tennessee’s defense is available in 92% of Yahoo! leagues.
