"We coming."
Those were the two words uttered by Colorado head coach Deion Sanders when he arrived to take over the Buffaloes in late 2022.
Just under two years later, Coach Prime has No. 18 Colorado sitting at 7-2 and with a chance to make the College Football Playoff.
After starting 4-2 in 2023, Colorado went on to lose its next six games and finish the season with a record of 4-8.
Changes were made, including the Buffs' move from the Pac-12 to the Big 12, and questions were raised about Colorado's ability to compete in the conference.

Colorado was picked to finish 11th in the Big 12 preseason poll.
This had the Buffs behind teams such as UCF, Arizona, Kansas and Oklahoma State, all of whom are under .500 this season, with Oklahoma State being winless in the conference.
With just three games remaining, Colorado controls its own destiny and has a real chance to win out and make it into the College Football Playoff.
With a remaining schedule of Utah (4-5), Kansas (3-6) and Oklahoma State (3-7), ESPN's football power index gives Colorado an 18.4% chance to win all three of these games, as well as a 24.1% chance to make it to the CFP.
Quarterback Shedeur Sanders and star wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter have been a huge part of Colorado's success.
Hunter is more than likely the most outstanding player in college football, as he plays both offense and defense and is excellent at both.

According to FanDuel, Hunter is now the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy Award at -115 odds, with Dillion Gabriel (+360) and Ashton Jeanty (+360) trailing.
With playmakers such as Sanders and Hunter leading the charge, Colorado certainly has a chance to reach the CFP in Coach Prime's second season.
