Toni Breidinger signs with TRICON Garage for 2025 Truck Series season

TRICON has signed a driver to drive its No. 5 truck in 2025, but it's probably not who you expected.

On Tuesday, the organization announced that Toni Breidinger will pilot the No. 5 Toyota Tundra in 2025, running for Rookie of the Year honors in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

The signing comes after TRICON signed both Corey Heim and Tanner Gray for its 2025 lineup and was yet to re-sign Dean Thompson, who drove the No. 5 in 2024.

Breidinger has made four previous Truck Series starts for TRICON — three in 2023 and one in 2024 — with a best finish of 15th at Kansas in May 2023.

In 2024, Breidinger ran the full ARCA Menards Series schedule for the second time in her career, totaling 11 top-10 finishes en route to a career-best points finish of fourth. Breidinger also ran the entirety of the ARCA schedule in 2022, finishing sixth in points. She finished ninth in points in 2023 despite only running 13 of the series' 20 races.

While Breidinger is yet to win on a national level of NASCAR competition, her ability to attract sponsors — an asset that's more important than ever for drivers in NASCAR's modern era — and bring home clean race cars make her a viable option for a full-time opportunity.

Breidinger will have two excellent teammates, Heim and Gray, to lean on and learn from. Heim is coming off a six-win campaign and his second consecutive Championship 4 appearance in 2024, while Gray is entering his sixth season of full-time Truck Series competition.

Breidinger will make her first start as a full-time Truck Series driver in the season opener at Daytona on Feb. 14.
