Watch: Michigan-Ohio State brawl after Wolverines upset win

The Michigan Wolverines stunned the college football world on Saturday by going into Columbus and upsetting No. 2 Ohio State, 13-10, in a mistake-filled game.

The Wolverines, relishing the role of spoiler and enjoying their fourth consecutive win over their fiercest rival, celebrated by attempting to plant a Michigan flag at the 50-yard line.

This was not well-received by Ohio State players, resulting in an extended brawl at midfield.

Here is another view from field-level.

Michigan's Kalel Mullings summed it up in his interview on Fox following the fight: "They gotta learn how to lose."

Look, you can try to argue that Michigan planting its flag at midfield is poor sportsmanship and maybe not winning with grace. But this is a rivalry game — one of the most intense rivalry games in the nation. The Wolverines came in as a three-touchdown underdog, with nobody giving them a chance to win the game.

Then, they not only won, but they continued their recent one-sided dominance of the rivalry.

Teams planting a flag at midfield of their rival is just something that happens in college football. You do not have to like it. But if you do not like it, there is a good way to avoid that — you can win the game, which Ohio State has not done in four consecutive tries.

Ohio State is still likely going to the 12-team playoff but is going to need a Penn State loss against Maryland to get a chance at the Big Ten championship and a likely bye week into the quarterfinals. So, while the loss does have some negative impact, the Buckeyes still have something to play for. They just need to play better than they did on Saturday.
