The reception gave Ertz three catches for 35 yards and a TD at the time. Per StatMuse, Ertz came into Sunday with 49 career TD catches. The tight end now has 50 career TD catches, which puts him in a tie with former New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens TE Ben Coates and former Minnesota Vikings, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Giants TE Kyle Rudolph for the 14th-most TD catches by a TE all time.
Ertz's TD continued an impressive showing by Daniels and the Washington offense. Daniels' TD throw to Ertz was his third of the game. The offensive performance is a welcome sight for Commanders fans, given their team has lost its last three games.
Ertz has been a frequent target of Daniels throughout the season. He has four or more catches in eight of the Commanders' prior games. Sunday's TD catch was his fourth of the season.
