We have an unlikely shootout in the Mile High City.
The Broncos and Browns traded haymakers with 70-plus-yard touchdowns on consecutive plays. When the dust settled, Denver led 28-25.
Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix connected with wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. for a 93-yard touchdown to give Denver a 28-17 advantage.

Nix ripped a deep ball from his end zone to Mims, who bobbled the ball before securing it and running away from the Browns' defense.
The completion was Nix's longest in the pros and the Broncos' longest touchdown reception at home since January 2021, when former quarterback Drew Lock's 92-yarder to former wideout Jerry Jeudy, who was traded to the Browns during the offseason.
Coincidentally, Jeudy, in his first game back in Denver, scored a 70-yard touchdown on the next play from scrimmage on a pass from Browns quarterback Jameis Winston.

Midway through the third quarter, Jeudy had six receptions for a career-high 167 yards and a touchdown. Before the game, he caused a stir when he said, "I just want to go back up there and whip their [expletive]."
The Broncos (7-5) entered Monday second in scoring defense (16.8 points allowed per game), while the Browns ranked 31st in scoring offense (16.9 points per game).
So, of course, "Monday Night Football" turned into a barnburner.
