Colorado's Travis Hunter is basically winning all the college football awards

Colorado wideout/defensive back Travis Hunter is in the running for the 2024 Heisman Trophy award because there aren't a ton of players in the nation who can be categorized under two positions while being a star at both.

That's a bygone skill, but Hunter is both a talented wide receiver and a ballhawk of a cornerback.

The proof is in the pudding, too. It's an honor to win any of the national awards given to the best college football players at their respective positions, but to win one each on both side of the ball? Well, that's special, and that's perhaps the best way to describe Hunter.

As such, it was announced on Thursday that Hunter is the 2024 Biletnikoff Award winner, which goes yearly to the best wide receiver in the country. He caught 92 passes for 1,152 yards and 14 touchdowns this season for the Buffaloes.

As a cornerback, he earned a massive recognition for his 31 tackles, 11 passes defended, four interceptions and one forced fumble. In fact, he's college football's defensive player of the year.

For what it's worth, just give him all the awards. The Heisman Trophy may be next, but until then, he'll also be known as the Walter Camp Player of the Year.

It has been a long time since a player like Hunter has come around, and it may be a long time since we see another like him.
