The Detroit Lions converted on a big man touchdown this time.
After the controversy from the team's "Monday Night Football" game against the Dallas Cowboys last season regarding whether OT Dan Skipper reported as an eligible receiver or not, he made sure that did not happen this time around.
With 3:01 to play in the first half, Skipper caught this nine-yard TD pass from QB Jared Goff to cut into the Buffalo Bills' lead, 21-14.

That was Goff's second TD pass of the game, which was huge given Detroit's uncharacteristic struggles on the ground at the time.
Considering the Bills (10-3) and Lions (12-1) have two of the best records in the NFL, a lot of fireworks were expected. According to TeamRankings, Detroit (32.1 PPG) and Buffalo (30.5 PPG) are the two highest-scoring teams in the league this season, so the first half production should come as no surprise.
Skipper's TD, though, seemed to catch the Bills off guard and provide a spark to a Lions offense that punted on each of its first two possessions.
