Turnover-prone Will Levis benched in Titans' loss, potentially signaling the end

Perhaps the Tennessee Titans have already seen enough of Will Levis — for good.

Just maybe.

If Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals was any indication, the struggling 3-11 Titans will go with Mason Rudolph for the rest of the season.

Levis threw three interceptions and fumbled before he was benched mid-game in favor of Rudolph in the Titans' 37-27 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday afternoon at Nissan Stadium.

"He had a couple of bad picks," Titans head coach Brian Callahan told reporters. "Put us in some bad spots. I made a decision to sit him down and try to give us a little bit of a spark. It was like three turnovers in like seven plays or something.  The fumbles weren't his fault, but one of them was."

To make matters worse, Levis threw his fourth pick-six this season.

When Callahan made the switch, fans cheered the move because they had seen enough of Levis, too.

Rudolph completed 21-of-26 for 209 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. He also ran the ball two times for 14 yards and didn't fumble.

Callahan was noncommittal on whether Levis will start next week against the Indianapolis Colts and beyond.

"We'll see moving forward," he said. "I gotta watch the tape and see what we can correct and how we can do it better, but it definitely wasn't his day today."

The Titans drafted Levis in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Kentucky. This season, Levis has thrown for 12 touchdowns, but also 12 interceptions.

In his rookie season, Levis threw for 1,808 yards and eight touchdowns against four interceptions.
