Cowboys legend Troy Aikman appears to be a big fan of his former teammate's son when it comes to their chances of being successful in the NFL.
In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, the Hall of Fame QB was asked if he thinks Shedeur Sanders' talent will translate to the next level following a standout career at Colorado and Aikman went as far as saying that he "loves" how Shedeur plays the position.
"I do think he's a franchise quarterback," Aikman said. "I love his game. I've obviously been watching him for a number of years, I know his father intimately well. What Shedeur's been able to do is remarkable."
"I'm excited for Colorado, I'm excited for Shedeur and really looking forward to seeing what he might do at the NFL level," the three-time Super Bowl champion continued. "My expectation is that he's gonna have a hell of a career."
Sanders has shown he can produce no matter where he is from high school to Jackson State to Boulder.
Not only have the numbers been there, but he's exhibited a toughness and clutch gene that you would think every NFL franchise is looking for in their QB1.
This season Sanders completed 74.2% of his passes for 3,926 yards, 35 touchdowns and eight interceptions and placed eighth in the Heisman Trophy voting. However, the eye test is where Shedeur truly stands out.
Sanders is expected to be the first quarterback off the board next April.
But for now his focus will be on finishing the job at CU and winning a bowl game to deliver the Buffs their first 10-win season in nearly a decade.
