A decision has been made regarding the status of San Francisco 49ers LB De'Vondre Campbell.
After refusing to enter the team's Thursday night game against the Los Angeles Rams, the 49ers announced on Monday that Campbell has been suspended for the final three games of the season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Although the 49ers (6-8) are mathematically in contention for a postseason berth, they are two games behind first place in the NFC West. Per NFL.com, the 49ers' playoff probability is currently less than 1 percent.
Campbell had started 12 games and played 90 percent of the defensive snaps in place of starting weakside LB Dre Greenlaw, who had been recovering from a torn Achilles he suffered in Super Bowl LVIII.
While he returned on Thursday night, Campbell was asked to enter the game when Greenlaw started experiencing knee soreness. That was the second time in the game that Campbell was asked to take the field but would not do so after the team's strongside LB, Dee Winters, left with a neck injury.
Campbell told the coaching staff he did not want to play and exited the field in the fourth quarter.
The 49ers had the option to waive Campbell, which could have given him the ability to find another team. Instead, San Francisco decided to suspend him.
According to Michael Ginnitti of Spotrac, Campbell's three-game suspension will cost him $261,666 in salary and per-game active bonus and up to $111,666 of his $3.35 million signing bonus if the 49ers decide to go down that route. San Francisco signed Campbell to a one-year, $5 million deal in March.
Campbell recorded 79 total tackles in the 13 games he appeared in with the 49ers. Unfortunately, his poor decision-making landed him a three-game suspension and put him in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
