It hasn’t been a season full of many highlights for the Las Vegas Raiders but at least their first-round draft pick has been an instant home run.
Amid their nine-game losing streak, which is the longest in the NFL and has them positioned to secure the No. 1 pick, the Raiders have had little to be excited about. However, former Georgia tight end Brock Bowers has fans a bit eager.
Heading into Monday night, Brock Bowers had already set the rookie record for most catches in a season. The previous record was 86, set just last season by Lions tight end Sam LaPorta. However, in the team's Week 15 game against the Atlanta Falcons, he made more NFL history.
TE Brock Bowers (@brockbowers17) now has 90 receptions on the season, one of 10 rookies in NFL history at any position (the first TE) to record 90+ receptions in his first season.

Bowers reached 90 catches on the season, becoming just the 10th rookie receiver to reach 90 catches and the first tight end to do so.
Bowers has a chance to become just the 4th rookie receiver to record 100 catches in a season, joining Puka Nacua (105 catches in 2023), Jaylen Waddle (104, 2021) and Anquan Boldin (101, 2003).
