The game-winner accounted for three of Stirtz's 22 points for the game and was the only three-pointer he made.
He averages 17.6 points per game and 6.1 assists — the latter is good for 18th in all of college basketball.
Mitch Mascari was the leading scorer for Drake with 25 points.
The win for Drake was its third over a Power Four team already this season. The Bulldogs have defeated Miami (80-69), Vanderbilt (81-70) and, now, Kansas State (73-70).
The Bulldogs will return home to host Green Bay in an extremely winnable game before hosting the 9-2 Belmont Bruins on Dec. 29.
