The Toronto Blue Jays and Cleveland Guardians are in trade talks once again, this time for first baseman Josh Naylor.

These trade rumors come on the heels of the Blue Jays' big free-agent announcement.

The Blue Jays closed a trade with the Guardians last week for Andres Gimenez but apparently they discussed the possibility of trading for Josh Naylor before the Gimenez deal went through, and now talks are heating up again.

According to MLB reporter Jack Azoulay-Haron, the Blue Jays are in talks with the Guardians once again, but this time for Canadian first baseman Josh Naylor. However, the Blue Jays are apparently not the only team interested.

Naylor would be a perfect fit for the Blue Jays, not only because he is Canadian but because he would bring them much-needed offensive flair to pair with Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

Last season, Naylor hit 31 home runs with 108 RBI and a .243 batting average in 152 games for the Cleveland Guardians.

The only issue some might see is that if Naylor goes to first base, the Blue Jays will need to move Guerrero over to third base, which will leave Ernie Clement without a spot in the lineup.
