Eagles RB Saquon Barkley joins elite company in rout of Cowboys

After the Dallas Cowboys tied the game at 7-7 with 5:38 remaining in the first quarter, the Philadelphia Eagles scored 41 unanswered points in a blowout win to clinch the NFC East title.

Aside from the division-clinching win, RB Saquon Barkley continued his sensational 2024 season with 31 carries for 167 yards. Barkley reached 2,000 rushing yards for the season, with the Eagles leading 34-7 early in the fourth quarter.

Barkley becomes the ninth player with 2,000 rushing yards in a season, joining an esteemed list of NFL greats.

Per the Fox Sports broadcast, Barkley only needs 101 yards to break Eric Dickerson's all-time rush yards record (2,105).

With his history-making day, Barkley now has 11 games this season with 100 or more rush yards. Barkley has 15 TDs (two receiving).

Although QB Kenny Pickett was only 10-of-15 for 143 yards and a TD in place of the injured Jalen Hurts (concussion), Barkley continues to amaze with or without the star QB.

Barkley has been nothing short of phenomenal this season as he closes in on the NFL's single-season rush yards record.
