Mike Wallace to attempt first NASCAR race since 2015 at 2025 Daytona 500

For the first time in a decade, NASCAR veteran Mike Wallace will be behind the wheel of a NASCAR Cup Series vehicle.

The 65-year-old veteran of 197 Cup Series races will attempt to race his way into the 2025 Daytona 500 for MBM Motorsports. Wallace's last Cup Series start came in the 2015 Daytona 500, which he raced his way into for Premium Motorsports.

Wallace has made 19 total starts at Daytona, with 11 coming in the Daytona 500. His first start in the 'Great American Race' came in 1995 and yielded a 39th-place finish. Wallace's best effort in a Daytona 500 came in 2007, finishing fourth. Wallace also finished sixth in the 2001 Daytona 500 and ninth in the 2001 Daytona 500. Wallace has more total top-10 finishes at Daytona (five) than any other track he's raced at in the Cup Series.

While Wallace has yet to find victory lane in the Cup Series, he boasts four wins in 497 Xfinity Series starts and five in 115 Truck Series starts.

Wallace's experience and veteran leadership will be crucial to the No. 66 team's entry into the Daytona 500.
