Will wide receiver Tyreek Hill play for the Miami Dolphins next season? Not even his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, seems to know.
In a Thursday interview with "The Pat McAfee Show," Rosenhaus flip-flopped when discussing Hill's future with the team. In the first part of the interview, he suggested Hill wants to stay in Miami.
"He's committed to this Dolphins football team," Rosenhaus said. "He had an excellent meeting with [general manager] Chris Grier and [head coach] Mike McDaniel. I believe that Tyreek is a great asset to the Dolphins. I think he's the least guy people should be worried about in this organization. They have many more worries, and Tyreek is not one of them."
However, he didn't dismiss the idea that Hill may request a trade this offseason.
"I've got to have that conversation with Tyreek. I'm not gonna speak for him. We'll discuss that. That's going to be, really, something that we work out. I'm not gonna say he does, he doesn't, that's a discussion I'm gonna have to have with him that I haven't had yet," Rosenhaus said.
"Tyreek Hill was emotional after the game & the guys on the Dolphins know he's a great competitor..

Perhaps Rosenhaus was attempting to deflect questions about whether Hill wants a trade. Regardless, it wouldn't be stunning if Miami sends him elsewhere.
In a 32-20 loss to the New York Jets in Week 18, Hill pulled himself out late in the third quarter. Following the game, he told the media, "I'm out, bro."
A breakup could work out for both sides. If Miami trades the 30-year-old wideout with a post-June 1 designation, that would reward them with $14.97M in cap savings, via Over the Cap.
The Dolphins (8-9) could also acquire draft capital, which they could use to restock the roster after missing the playoffs.
WR-needy teams may offer solid packages for the eight-time Pro Bowler. In 17 games, he finished with 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdown catches.
