Watch: Rams get scoop-and-score to extend lead vs. Vikings

Everything is going right for the Rams in the wild-card round. 

On a third down, late in the second quarter, Ahkello Witherspoon sacked Sam Darnold and forced a fumble that was recovered by rookie defensive end Jared Verse and returned 57 yards for a touchdown to extend the Rams lead to 17-3.

The sack was one of six first-half sacks for the Los Angeles defense, a season-high in that department. 

The touchdown for Verse was the first of the season and the first of his career. The forced fumble for Witherspoon was his first of the season as well.

The Vikings trailed 24-3 at halftime.
