No. 7 Houston left Allen Fieldhouse with a stunning 92-86 win over No. 12 Kansas after sending the game into a second overtime with an improbable sequence.
The Cougars scored six points in the final eight seconds of the first overtime to erase a 79-73 deficit. Kansas senior guard Dajuan Harris Jr. missed two free throws with 18 seconds left to give Houston life, and Cougars junior guard Emanuel Sharp followed with a three to cut the lead in half.
Then, Houston got a steal on the ensuing inbounds pass, and senior guard Mylik Wilson hit a quick three to tie the game at 79. The Cougars never trailed again.

Winning at Allen Fieldhouse is hard for any opponent, but it's been particularly challenging for the country's best teams recently.
Kansas (14-5, 5-3 in Big 12) entered Saturday with nine consecutive home wins against AP top-10 opponents. Houston lost last year's meeting ranked fourth, 78-65. (h/t Stathead)
Houston (16-3, 8-0 in Big 12) has won 17 consecutive Big 12 games dating back to last season, when it won the regular-season conference title.
That's a remarkable accomplishment for a program in only its second season in the Big 12. Houston played in the AAC from the 2013-14 through 2022-23 seasons and was a CUSA member for 17 seasons before that.
Head coach Kelvin Sampson has transformed Houston, which has won 12 in a row, into one of the country's best teams, and on Saturday, the Cougars showed they can win no matter the circumstance.
