This marks Missouri's third ranked win this season. A season after going 8-24 and 0-18 in SEC play, the Tigers already have 16 wins overall and five in conference play.
Missouri hit 11 threes in the game and got a pair of clutch performances from senior guards Tamar Bates (26 points, 8-of-13 FG) and Caleb Grill (25 points, 7-of-13 FG). The free-throw shooting (28-of-39) was a huge factor as well.
Grill's fourth of six threes in the game extended the Tigers' lead to 48-40 with 14:10 remaining.

Bates knocked down this triple with 2:41 left to give Missouri a 73-63 lead and effectively put the game out of reach.

Although Ole Miss had four starters with 12 or more points, Saturday gave the Rebels (15-5, 4-3 SEC) their third straight loss after a 4-0 start to league play. Ole Miss will need to find some answers heading into a showdown with Texas on Wednesday.
While Missouri (16-4, 5-2 SEC) heads into three more ranked matchups consecutively, the fact the Tigers are in the position they are currently in is truly remarkable compared to a season ago. With another key win under their belts, expect the Tigers to stay firmly in the Top 25 after another impressive win.
