It didn't take the Philadelphia Eagles long to answer the Washington Commanders' extended first drive in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday. It only took 18 seconds.
Starting from their 40-yard line after Washington utilized an 18-play game-opening drive to go up 3-0, the Eagles needed just a single play to claim the lead.
Running back Saquon Barkley took the ball around the left side and broke several tackles on his way for a 60-yard touchdown on his team's first play from scrimmage.

The Eagles snagged a 7-3 lead out of thin air on a play that appeared to be aimed at establishing the run game early, especially with starting center Cam Jurgens sidelined by injury.
Philadelphia's counterpunch seemingly knocked the wind out of Washington's sails, with the Commanders turning the ball over on a fumble by wide receiver Dyami Brown on their ensuing possession.
Barkley made them pay yet again, scoring his second touchdown of the first quarter from a short distance to extend Philadelphia's lead to 14-3.
