Perhaps the New York Jets and quarterback Aaron Rodgers aren't headed for a messy split.
New Jets head coach Aaron Glenn is reportedly weighing his options and may retain the four-time MVP in 2025.
"Aaron Glenn, to my understanding, is open to it," NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport said Sunday on "NFL GameDay." "Rodgers as well. Expect those conversations to ramp up in the coming weeks."

Rodgers, meanwhile, hasn't revealed whether he will retire. The QB sounded unsure about his future after the Jets' regular-season finale against the Miami Dolphins.
If Rodgers decides to play, his future with the Jets still seems murky. This season, New York went 5-12 and missed the playoffs for a 14th straight season.
In 17 starts, Rodgers completed 63% of his passes for 3,897 yards with 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. While those aren't horrible numbers, it doesn't seem like the 41-year-old is still an elite passer.
It's also worth noting he suffered an Achilles injury in 2023, which could continue to affect his mobility.
But the Jets may not have a better option than Rodgers. New York backup QB Tyrod Taylor has a 28-28-1 starting record in 14 seasons.
New York has the No. 7 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but the QB class isn't considered deep. Tankathon's latest three-round mock draft doesn't have the Jets taking an offensive signal-caller.
Moving on from Rodgers wouldn't be cheap, either. Per Spotrac, New York would incur $49M in dead cap in 2025 and 2026 if it traded or released him with a post-June 1 designation.
Glenn probably realizes his choices are limited, which may be why he's not closing the door on Rodgers.
