Incredible effort. The Gamecocks now get to rest and are back in action on Sunday vs Auburn
The Gamecocks average margin of victory in the five-game stretch was 18.6 points, an incredible feat against Top 25 competition.
The single digit victory over Tennessee was the first time since their first game of the season that South Carolina hadn't won or lost by double figures. Another incredible feat for the Lady Gamecocks
South Carolina improved to 8-1 against ranked opponents this season after Monday's win against Tennessee. The lone loss came to No. 1 UCLA back in November. The loss snapped South Carolina's 43 game winning streak.
Coach Dawn Staley spoke about her group's resiliency and fight during the five-game stretch against ranked SEC opponents.

The Gamecocks have four remaining games against Top 25 opponents, including a showdown against No. 6 UConn on Feb. 16.
The loss to UCLA may prevent South Carolina from being the No. 1 overall seed come March, but the Gamecocks should certainly still be considered the national championship favorites.
