Somehow, Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton didn't travel on a jaw-dropping assist in Wednesday night's matchup against the Detroit Pistons.
With the Pacers leading the Pistons 24-10 late in the first quarter, Haliburton picked up his dribble but saw the lane was open. Instead of shooting a three, he took one step and tossed the ball off the backboard back to himself for a layup.

Haliburton pulled off a similar play in a game against the New York Knicks last season. The guard threw the ball off the glass and passed it to Pacers forward Pascal Siakam, who hit a corner three.
Some may argue that pass was more impressive, but his self-assist on Wednesday certainly belongs on his highlight reel.
The Pacers beat the Pistons 133-119, improving to 26-20. Haliburton scored 30 points, grabbed seven rebounds and had eight assists.
Through his first 44 games this season, Haliburton ranked fifth in the league in assists (8.7). If there were a stat for self-assists, he would probably lead it.
