Aces superstar A'ja Wilson set to debut first signature Nike shoe

The reveal is long overdue for Wilson, as the moment comes two years after Nike announced that they were in the process of designing a shoe for the Aces superstar.

The shoe is designed to give Wilson and others the perfect combination of comfort, stability and fit, all while providing visual motifs that tell Wilson’s story throughout the shoe.

“It feels super different,” Wilson said when announcing the shoe. “It’s snug, it is a great fit, but at the same time it is comfortable. It is really light and comfortable and has been tons of fun testing.”

The Pink A’ura launch colorway of the A’One signature shoe will come in various unisex and kids’ sizes when it releases to the public in May. It is the first of a larger signature apparel collection from Wilson, but details on the other pieces remain unclear at the moment.

Wilson expressed excitement for fans to finally get the opportunity to wear her signature shoe. Not only does she want fans to experience the same level of comfort and explosiveness the shoe will provide her, but the shoe will give insight to her as a player and a person.

“I wanted it to be sleek, low-cut and versatile,” she said. “I wanted to make sure we got a nice-looking shoe that was comfortable for everyone.”

Fans will get to see how the A’One shoe affects Wilson’s play when the Aces start this upcoming season, and they will soon get the chance to experience that same feeling.
