A 10-point halftime deficit was too much to overcome for No. 1 Auburn, as it suffered a 90-81 loss to No. 6 Florida. The loss for Auburn was its first SEC loss this season.

Until Saturday, the Gators had not yet beaten a Top 25 team on the road. They'd played in two such games before Saturday and had an average margin of defeat of 13 points.
After falling behind by 10 points in the early going, Florida picked up the pace, and after taking a 32-31 lead with 4:24 in the first half, the Gators never trailed again and led by as many as 21 points.
Walter Clayton led Florida with 19 points, six rebounds and nine assists, one of five Gators in double figures.
Alex Condon finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds, good for his fifth double-double of the season.

Free throws were an issue for the Tigers, as they went 14-of-23 (60.9%) from the line. Auburn shoots 74.9% from the line as a team of the season.
Miles Kelly led all scorers with 22 points for Auburn, and Johni Broome finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.

With the loss, Auburn may fall out of the No. 1 spot in the AP Top 25 for the first time since it was ranked No. 2 in the Jan. 6 release of the rankings.
