Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray tends to be streaky, but he can light up a stat sheet when he's feeling it.
In Wednesday's night home matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers, Murray scored 30 points in the first half. According to the team's X account, the scoring barrage was a career high in a first half for Murray.

The Nuggets beat the Trail Blazers 132-121, and Murray finished with a season-high 55 points. It's the first time he has surpassed the 50-point mark this season.
Murray, who was a key player when the Nuggets won the 2023 NBA Finals, had recently cooled.
Although he shot 53.4% from the field in his first five games in February, he averaged only 19.4 points per game. The fantastic showing should help him regain some mojo.
If Murray stays sharp, the Nuggets could make another deep playoff run. As of Wednesday night, FanDuel Sportsbook gives Denver the fifth-best odds (+1400) to win the NBA Finals.
