Watch: Rockies prospect delivers epic bat flip on HR vs. Diamondbacks

Spring training games do not count in the actual standings, and spring training home runs are easily forgotten but do not tell that to Colorado Rockies prospect Zac Veen.

Veen clubbed a monster 433-foot home run in the Rockies' spring training opener against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday and was quite excited about his hit.

He not only flipped his bat, he delivered what might be one of the most aggressive bat flips we will see all season in Major League Baseball.

Now that is a bat flip.

That bat landed all the way out by the pitcher's mound and resulted in him needing to apologize as he started his trot down the first base line.

The Rockies do not have a lot going for them this season and once again project to be one of the worst teams in baseball. But Veen is a prospect worth getting excited about if you are a Rockies fan. He was the No. 9 overall pick in the 2020 draft and has consistently climbed up the prospect rankings each season until injuries started to slow him down.

He remains an exciting talent and should still have plenty of potential to be an impact player for the Rockies.
