There did not seem to be anything overly exciting about the Brooklyn Nets (21-35) vs. Philadelphia 76ers (20-36) game on Saturday. But because of the NBA's play-in tournament to determine the final two playoff spots in each conference, the game actually had a ton of importance as both teams were within striking distance of the 10th spot in the Eastern Conference and the final play-in spot.
The Nets ended up getting the massive win, 105-103, thanks to a buzzer-beating putback by Nic Claxton.
Have a look.

With that win, the Nets are now just a half-game behind the Chicago Bulls for the final play-in spot in the East. The Nets have now won seven of their past nine games to really climb back into the race, with two of those wins coming against a 76ers team that can not seem to gain any ground in that playoff race.
That loss is the 76ers' seventh in a row, and their ninth in the past 10 games. That leaves them a game-and-a-half out of the final play-in spot in the Eastern Conference.
