The Boston Red Sox may not know what position infielder Alex Bregman will play, but at least they know he can still hit.
In the bottom of the second inning of Sunday's spring training game against the Toronto Blue Jays, Bregman blasted a two-run homer off a pitch from Andrew Bash.

The Blue Jays beat the Red Sox 8-7, but Bregman still looked solid. He finished 3-of-3 at the plate with two RBI.
Bregman — who recently signed a three-year, $120M deal with Boston— mainly played third base in nine seasons with the Houston Astros.
Boston star Rafael Devers, however, has insisted he wants to stay at third. Bregman would likely move to second base if he doesn't cede the position.
"I think having really good players that are talking about positions is not a terrible place to be in," Red Sox chief baseball officer Craig Breslow said Sunday, via MassLive.com's Sean McAdam. "...my obligation is to put the best team on the field, on both offense and defense that I possibly can... So we'll continue to have conversations."
In 2024, the Red Sox aim to end a three-year playoff drought. Two-time World Series champion Bregman should provide the veteran savvy Boston needs wherever he plays.
