Brandin Podziemski, Moses Moody have been crucial to Warriors' recent success

The Golden State Warriors have rediscovered their rhythm post-All-Star break, riding a five-game winning streak that has injected new life into their season. While the addition of Jimmy Butler at the trade deadline has provided a much-needed veteran presence, the rise of Brandin Podziemski and Moses Moody has been equally crucial to the team’s resurgence.

Since Butler’s debut, the Warriors have gone 7-1, with their latest victory — a 121-115 win over the Orlando Magic — further cementing their momentum. Stephen Curry’s 56-point masterpiece stole the spotlight, but the contributions of Podziemski and Moody have quietly strengthened Golden State’s depth and consistency.

Podziemski, a second-year guard, has embraced an expanded role and displayed his versatility on both ends of the floor. His 21-point effort against Sacramento on Feb. 21 showcased his offensive ability, while his career-high 13 rebounds against Dallas showed his commitment to doing the little things that win games.

Playing alongside Butler has seemingly elevated the 22-year-old's confidence, allowing him to emerge as a reliable two-way asset. Moody, meanwhile, has taken full advantage of his promotion to the starting lineup.

His 22-point outing against the Kings, during which he made 5-of-8 3-pointers, highlighted his improved perimeter game. But beyond scoring, his defensive intensity and efficiency have significantly contributed to the Warriors’ recent success.

Head coach Steve Kerr has emphasized the importance of consistent playing time in the 6-foot-5 guard's development — a factor evident in his recent performances.

"It's just confidence," Kerr said. "He's getting consistent minutes, and he's making the most of them. He has the occasional night when shots don't go in, and it doesn't bother him because he knows he's coming right back the next game."

Post-All-Star break, Moody’s numbers have jumped across the board, with his scoring average climbing from 9.2 to 14.8 points per game while shooting a scorching 50 percent from beyond the arc. His impact is further reflected in his +12.5 plus/minus rating over the last four games, demonstrating his ability to influence the game positively.

Podziemski has also improved significantly, increasing his scoring from 9.7 to 14 points per game while leading the team with a +16.3 plus/minus.

Golden State’s five-game win streak — featuring key victories over Houston, Sacramento and Dallas — has positioned them favorably in the Western Conference playoff race. With Butler providing leadership and the young duo of Podziemski and Moody thriving at the perfect time, the Warriors may be peaking just as the postseason push intensifies.
