No. 6 Tennessee trailed No. 5 Alabama by four points with just 36 seconds remaining in the game.
A made layup, two made free throws and a buzzer-beater later and the Volunteers shocked the Crimson Tide and came away with a 79-76 win.

According to the broadcast, the win for Tennessee was its eighth this season against a Top 25 team, the most in the history of its program.
Jahmai Mashack hit the game-winner and scored five points in the final 30 seconds of the game. Those five in the final 30 seconds accounted for almost half of his 11 total points in the game.
Jordan Gainey and Chaz Lanier each poured in 18 points for Tennessee. Gainey's 18 were his most in a game since he scored 19 against Georgia in mid-January. Zakai Zeigler was also in double digits with 15 points.

The loss for Alabama was its third in the last five games and its second straight road loss against a ranked opponent.
Mark Sears led all scorers with 24 points for the Crimson Tide, good for his fourth straight game with 20-plus points.
Labaron Philon (13 points) and Aden Holloway (11 points) were also in double figures for the Crimson Tide.

Both teams will finish their regular seasons next week. Alabama continues its gauntlet of games against ranked teams with matchups against No. 3 Florida and No. 1 Auburn.
Tennessee will finish up with games against unranked Ole Miss and unranked South Carolina.
