Just one season after finishing 6-12 in conference play, the TCU Horned Frogs women's basketball team on Sunday finished the regular season 16-2 in the conference and won its first Big 12 regular-season championship in program history with a 51-48 win over No. 17 Baylor.
The last time the No. 10 Horned Frogs won a conference title was in 2010 as members of the Mountain West.

Sunday's game marked the second time this season that TCU and Baylor matched up, with TCU winning the first bout as well.
The Horned Frogs finished the regular season with an overall record of 28-3, and they boast one of the most impressive resumes in the country. They did not lose a home game all season and went 9-2 over their final 11 games of the season.

Senior guard Hailey Van Lith was the only other player in double figures with 14 points. The LSU transfer has been huge for TCU this season, as she is tied with Prince for the team-lead at 17.7 points per game.

TCU will now enter the Big 12 tournament with a major chip on its shoulder, and a dominant run in that tournament could very well earn it a No. 1 seed on Selection Sunday.
