Dylan Cozens has been linked to Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens for a while now.
What's interesting is that during the recent visit of the Buffalo Sabres to Montreal, Cozens himself directly responded to the rumors sending him to the Habs.
He even sent a little message to Kent Hughes.
This is a persistent rumor, but what does the young Cozens think about it?
On 98.5 radio, during the broadcast of the Canadiens vs. Sabres game, the excellent Martin McGuire interviewed Cozens and directly asked him the question.
"I've heard about it, but well. I try to block out these distractions and focus on my game," Cozens said. "I signed here for the long term."
The young Sabres forward also sent a subtle message, mentioning that he simply wants to play meaningful games and win.
At the moment, he has a better chance of achieving those goals by playing for the Montreal Canadiens than the Buffalo Sabres.
Martin McGuire also had a solid point to add:
"In Montreal, you'll never hear that Cole Caufield is on the market because he simply has no reason to be. He is one of the Canadiens' cornerstones. When you hear that a player is on the market, in general, it's not made up."
It really seems like a possibility for Cozens.
