Watch: Tigers hit back-to-back-to-back first-pitch homers

It was a day for 27-year-old Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Jesus Luzardo to forget. Conversely, it's one that the Detroit Tigers may remember for a long time.

Fortunately for Luzardo, what happened came in a spring training game, so no harm, no foul. Unfortunately for the Tigers, their back-to-back-to-back first-pitch home runs against Luzardo in the bottom of the second mean nothing in the grand scheme of things.

It sure was cool to see, though, even though Phillies manager Rob Thompson — who was being interviewed at the time — did not seem to be having a good time.

First it was center fielder Jahmai Jones, who hit a grand slam to left center to make it 4-0 Tigers. On the very next pitch, Andy Ibanez took Luzardo deep. And then finally, on the very next pitch after that one, Gleyber Torres dropped another into left center.

Three pitches. Three homers into left center. By the time Luzardo was able to look up, it was 6-0 Detroit.

It looked like this:

The Tigers ended up winning, 17-7, which would be impressive if this wasn't an exhibition game.

Still, that was fun to watch.
