Penalties are common in hockey, especially those involving roughing. However, on Sunday, one scuffle resulted in everyone present on the ice being served with disciplinary consequences.
The Seattle Kraken and Washington Capitals were tied 2-2 midway through the third period when a scuffle broke out just after a stoppage in play.
All 10 players on the ice got involved and once the officials were able to calm things down (which took several minutes), they all were escorted to the penalty box.

Washington's Brandon Duhaime and Seattle's John Hayden were given game misconducts and sent to their respective locker rooms early.
There was a total of 22 penalty minutes doled out excluding the ejections. Duhaime was given an extra two minutes for roughing which gave Seattle a power play following the chaotic sequence.

It was an odd sight and a rare occurrence. Capitals fans may have had flashbacks to 2021 when six players were sent to the penalty box after fighting the New York Rangers, accruing a combined 100 penalty minutes.
