Corey Heim wins rainy NASCAR Truck Series race at Las Vegas

Desert rain nor pit road penalties could stop Corey Heim in Friday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Heim earned his second win of the 2025 season by leading 42 of 134 laps and mounting a furious charge from the back of the pack in Stage 2.

Heim sped on pit road during the pit stops following the end of Stage 1 and was forced to restart 24th. By the end of Stage 2, he'd managed to work his way up to fourth, and when the second red flag for rain struck on lap 70, he was in the lead.

However, NASCAR opted to restart the race — which ended just after 12:30 a.m. ET time on Saturday morning — meaning Heim had to earn the 13th win of his Truck Series career.

And earn it he did, holding off Layne Riggs, Grant Enfinger and Tanner Gray to win in Sin City.

"(I) made that mistake in Stage 1 where I sped on pit road and put us behind," Heim told Fox Sports. "I'm a little bit speechless right now. Couldn't be happier about my team. Just gotta stay up top all year."

Enfinger, Gray, Ty Majeski and Riggs rounded out the top-five, with Stewart Friesen, Rajah Caruth, Chandler Smith, Matt Crafton and Tyler Ankrum completing the top-10.

Other notable finishers include Justin Haley in 11th, Daniel Hemric in 13th, Ben Rhodes in 14th, Toni Breidinger in 21st and Corey Day in 27th.

The fourth race of the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season will take place on March 21 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The Baptist Health 200 will go green shortly after 8 p.m. ET, with coverage on Fox, NRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
