The madness that is march is well underway, and it continued Saturday afternoon in the Big Ten semifinal matchup between the Michigan Wolverines and Maryland Terrapins.
After two made free throws from Maryland's Derik Queen, Michigan trailed by one point with just 5.3 seconds remaining. Tre Donaldson played hero and sent the Wolverines to the conference championship game.

With a win, Michigan will match up with the Wisconsin Badgers, who knocked off the No. 1 seed Michigan State in the first game on Saturday afternoon.
As has been the case most of the season, Michigan got great contribution from its two big men, Vladislav Goldin and Danny Wolf. The two combined for 46 points and 24 rebounds, each of those totaling over 50% of Michigan's team totals.
The hero Donaldson scored 12 points and dished out a career-high nine assists.

For the Terps, the previously mentioned Queen was the game's leading scorer with 31 points. It was a season and career high for the freshman center and a huge confidence-builder heading into the NCAA Tournament.
Selton Miguel (16 points), Julian Reese (13 points) and Ja'Kobi Gillespie (10 points, nine assists) were also in double figures for Maryland.

Michigan will now turn its focus to Wisconsin and look to win its first conference tournament championship since 2018, while the Badgers will be looking for their first since 2008.
The game tips off on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
