Las Vegas Motor Speedway was none too kind to Sin City natives on Sunday

For NASCAR Cup Series drivers Riley Herbst, Noah Gragson and Kyle Busch, Las Vegas Motor Speedway is the closest thing to a home game.

Unfortunately, Las Vegas was none too kind to its natives on Sunday.

Busch had the worst day of the trio, crashing on Lap 113 after a wheel came loose on his No. 8 Chevrolet. While he eventually rejoined the race, he finished 33rd, 35 laps down.

Herbst had the best finish of the group in 19th, though his fourth top-20 effort in the first five races of 2025 didn't come without multiple pit road speeding penalties.

Gragson ran inside the top-10 at various points during Sunday's race, finishing 16th and 12th in Stages 1 and 2, respectively. Unfortunately, a flat right-front tire with 25 laps to go ended his day and relegated him to a 31st-place finish, 26 laps down.

It was a disappointing day for the three drivers that get to visit their hometown twice a year when the Cup Series rolls into Nevada.

Las Vegas will host the Cup Series again on Oct. 12 in the opening race of the Round of 8 in the Cup Series playoffs.
