Packers sign three-time Super Bowl champion WR

The Green Bay Packers have signed a wide receiver who knows a thing or two (or three) about championship football.

Former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver and return specialist Mecole Hardman has agreed to a one-year deal with the Packers, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported on Tuesday.

Hardman has spent the majority of his career with the Chiefs. He was drafted by the team in the second round in 2019 and made the Pro Bowl as a rookie, primarily for his contributions on special teams. Hardman also caught the attention of defenses around the NFL by hauling in six touchdown catches that year.

Hardman won a total of three Super Bowls with the Chiefs. The former Georgia star signed with the Jets in 2023, but he was with his new team for less than seven months. Hardman caught just one pass in five games as a Jet before asking for a trade. The Chiefs then re-acquired him at the deadline.

If Hardman makes the final roster in Green Bay, it will likely be as a kick returner. The 27-year-old has 1,892 return yards and two return touchdowns in his career. He has also hauled in 178 catches for 2,302 yards.
