Watch: Blues teammates combine for one of season's craziest goals

The St. Louis Blues have been one of the NHL's hottest teams over the past month and have stormed their way back into playoff contention in the Western Conference. They had another huge game on Saturday afternoon against the Chicago Blackhawks, and it got off to a great start when forward Robert Thomas opened the scoring.

It was not your typical, run-of-the-mill goal, either.

There was some weirdness and craziness to it.

Not only did Thomas score the goal by whacking it into the net out of mid-air, it was set up by consecutive mid-air passes with Thomas, Dylan Holloway and Jordan Kyrou all directing the puck out of mid-air.

This is more lacrosse than hockey.

Not only did the Blues successfully knock the puck around in mid-air for the goal, but all three players managed to do it in legal fashion with none of them being high-sticks on the puck.

For Thomas it is his 18th goal of the season and without a doubt one of the weirdest he has scored this season — or in any season.
