Award-winning WR makes it clear he wants to join Raiders

Las Vegas had never been a strong football market until the Las Vegas Raiders came to the city in 2020. Before that, UNLV was the biggest football draw in Sin City, but the Rebels haven't had a player drafted since 2010 and the program just won their first bowl game since 2000 last season.

Things are changing for the Rebels, and they are likely to see their first players drafted in over a decade. Wide receiver Ricky White III is among the players who have a chance to be drafted.

While he'd be happy to play anywhere, he wasn't shy about his love for Las Vegas and how exciting it would be to get drafted by the Raiders.

"I love this city so much," White told reporters at the UNLV pro day on Tuesday. "I would love to come back here and be a Raider.

White was the Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Year in 2024 and was first-team All-Mountain West for each of the last two seasons. He had over 1,000 receiving yards in back-to-back seasons, so he's a legitimate NFL prospect.

That said, his lack of elite speed will make him a Day 3 pick. The Raiders could consider him with one of their late-round picks. At the very least, he can be an impact special teams player at the NFL level.
