It was April Fool's Day, but "The Joker" was not kidding around.
The Nuggets star dropped 61 points to go with 10 rebounds and 10 assists in his team's 140-139 double OT loss to the Timberwolves on Tuesday night. Here's a quick rundown of every record he broke — personal and historic — with his herculean performance.
With 61 points, Jokic surpassed his previous career-high of 56, which was set earlier in the season against the Wizards.
The Serb logged 52 minutes and 38 seconds, his most in a game since the 47 minutes he played against the Heat back in March 2018.
Jokic overtook De'Aaron Fox (60) for the season's highest-scoring game.
Wilt Chamberlain previously had the highest-scoring triple-double by a center when he recorded 53/32/14 on March 18, 1968.
Jokic eclipsed the previous mark set by Luka Doncic and James Harden, who each scored 60 as part of their triple-doubles.
A new personal best, and now tied with Chamberlain for most triple-doubles by a center. Only Russell Westbrook (42) and Oscar Robertson (41) have more in a season. With six games left, Jokic isn't done.
The first player since Michael Jordan to tally 60+ points and 50+ minutes in a single game. The Nuggets star entered the game with 6:38 left in the second quarter and never checked out again, playing 52:38 of a possible 58 minutes.
Jokic drained six threes during his masterpiece, becoming the first to make five or more long-range shots in a 60-point triple-double.
Despite Jokic's greatness, Denver lost in double OT. As a result, he became the first player ever to end up on the losing side of a 60-point triple-double. Furthermore, he added to the NBA's infamous recent streak of players losing despite scoring 60. The last four players were Fox (Nov. 15, 2024), Jalen Brunson (March 29, 2024), Stephen Curry (Feb. 3, 2024) and Devin Booker (Jan. 26, 2024).

The performance was so exceptional that Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards anointed Jokic the best player he has ever witnessed.
