Carmelo Anthony, one of the most prolific and versatile basketball players of his generation, has officially earned his place in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.

Anthony's journey to the NBA Hall of Fame began with his standout college career at Syracuse University, where he led the Orange to a national championship in 2003. Throughout his 19-year NBA career, Anthony established himself as one of the premier scorers in the league, known for his elite scoring ability, impressive footwork and the unique style he brought to the game.

He finished his career with more than 28,000 points, solidifying his place among the NBA’s all-time greats.

Here are the top five moments of his storied career:

5. Knicks' first-round playoff series win in 2013

Melo led the Knicks to their first playoff series victory in 13 years, defeating the Celtics in six games. The Knicks fell to the Pacers in the conference semifinals.

4. 20,000 points club

On November 2, 2014, against those same Bobcats, Anthony joined an elite club that included just 39 other players at the time — there are now 52. The latest is Giannis Antetokounmpo who achieved the mark on March 5, 2025.

3. 62-point game

On January 24, 2014, against the Bobcats, Melo broke Bernard King’s Knicks franchise record and the Madison Square Garden record for points in a game, going 23-of-35 from the field.
